This Interminable Year

Posted by Rain Kleindolph on

You may have noticed there are no products in the shop. I've paused selling in my store until the new year, in the hopes that things will pick up a bit. To be honest there have been no sales in months. I can't afford to pay the monthly fees if no one can afford to shop.  Most of us aren't working, so who can afford to shop for jewelry when paying the rent and eating are on the line?

The reality is, it's time for a break.

It's hard, I'm worried, but I'm also hopeful about a future where we manage to dig the country out of this mess.  I'll keep blogging here and sharing art in the meantime, there's a bit of a site overhaul in the works, and I hope to reopen in January sometime. I'm using this time to learn some new skills and make M&R better.

We can do hard things. And we must, if we are ever going to walk forward into whatever this new normal will be.

Take care friends, wear your masks and stay safe.
