The studio is unpacked. I've got my business newly filed with the state of Oregon, my license sorted with the City of Portland, and can legally start operating again! The organization process is finally giving way to the mental room I need to make new stuff. It's been a little slow, happening in fits and starts, but I've begun to spend some time at the bench dreaming up new goodies for the shop in the last few days. We did it! As of December 3rd, Maia & Rainwood Design is PDX local. Look for us at events and shows around the Pacific Northwest starting in 2019. We couldn't be happier to be based out of North Portland now. Dream come true! While all of my tools are still on the truck as of this writing, all of our shop stock currently listed is available for holiday shipping and orders (I brought it up in my car). I've dubbed 2019 the Year of Reclaiming My Hand-Knits. Aside from a necessary warm winter hat or three, I haven't knit a thing for myself in 5 years. Just gifts and things for other people.
