Anticipation is a weird one for me, at least when it comes to “things on the calendar” that relate to other people. One of my favorite books may be Anne Lamotte's "Help, Thanks, Wow". When I think about the kind of help I myself find myself asking for it's typically asking for support and for sustenance through the awful. Well we did it. The first shop update in a little over 18 months. As COVID starts to surge again with the Delta variant, all of my hopeful plans for future festivals and local events have once again been tabled. We are back in distancing mode, masking, and largely isolating so that we can spend time with our young grandchildren safely. We wish for a pediatric vaccine so we can stop holding our breath about it.
